Center Channel Choice

One of my few affordable New Year resolutions is to replace my non-Polk center channel with a somewhat closer match for my SDA-1C fronts. Cost comes into play and space is limited so it's a short list. Any all comments regarding the three below matched with 1C's. Large room, Carver amp, below TV location.

The choices are CSR, CS2, and CS10.

I would look for a used cs400 or cs350.

you may also be able to find a csi a6, which polk recommends for the sda line.... I am getting one as soon as my budget allows

Phantom mode with SDAs. You will be completely surprised. Try it out before spending $$$ on a center.

The three mentioned are all too large. I have 21-22 inches to work with and about 8 inches of height which is why I narrowed it down before asking.

Yes, I've tried phantom center and find that with large screens (60+) the dialog is not anchored properly - especially for non-optimal seating positions.

Thanks John, I was leaning that way because it's a slightly better efficiency match versus the CS2 (which I've heard good things about). The A6 you mentioned would probably be my first choice but if it won't fit, it won't fit.

I used a CSi5 with my SDA-1C's with very good results.
