That's one big wall of speakers there. What happens when all that sound bounces off the walls in that room? Does it cause any problems.

And on another note does anyone remember that 50,000 dollar multi-tower speaker system by Infinity decades ago that was supposedly engineered to produce a perfect sound? Can't remember the models--think they had an entire ribbon of Emit tweeters in each units as well as many many other mid-drivers.

Everytime I see a speaker with that many drivers, I wonder what were they thinking? And I'd like to see some bonafide 'engineers' comment on that approach, admittedly its imposing like the architecture of a Gothic Cathedral.

It goes without saying there's a fortune in speakers there. Way out of our range for sure.....

With huge speakers you need a lot of space. The question to ask is how would 1.2's sound in a 12x12 room. The top 16 mids are run like subs now, and the bottom 16 are setup like 1.2TL's I just did some experimenting with some new Vifa tweeters which helped with the transition from mids to highs. Before when Alison Krauss extended her range the mid tweeter transition grabbed your spine and yanked it. The ring radiator tweeter similar to what Polk uses in their LSI's was better, but had the problem of not doing the uppers well with the HF off axis. I ended up boosting the treble to compensate, but I was back at the mid/tweeter transition being painful. They are in a spare room for now, and will go back into service when I redo the basement for HT. Till then it's like trying to fit 10lbs into a 5lb bag. It just doesn't work. As for costs it isn't that bad. The Polk drivers, and Vifa tweeters end up being being less than 2,000. I would use the Silver flutes/Vifa if I were to do it again, but you need the room.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
