looking to get a second sub

i have a jbl sub 10. i'm looking to get a second sub for mid bass or just to get a second sub. anyhow any suggestions. 200.00 is my limit for now. thanks in advance.

What do you hope to accomplish? Sounds like you might be better off selling the one you have & putting the xtra $$$ into a higher quality sub...

One good sub is much better than 2 so so subs.

Lots of good used subs out there as people upgrade trying to find the right one because they do not know what they want, calibrate and eq their sub and ingnore room acoustics.

i'll be using the sub for mostly movies and gaming. i want deeper bass and a tad bit more output. my living room is rather small but i'll be moving very soon to a biiger place. i've though about seeling it but i can't seem to find a buyer for the old sub.

That sub retails for 599 or more and will do what you need it to do?

I agree with this but 2 subs are better then one. I could explain every single reason why but if you have a so so sub, then yes a better sub will yield uch better performance.

I had 1 , then 2 then 3 and finally sold them all and got a SVS PB13U and never looked back.

1, 2 and 3 were all the same manufactor and considered very good subs. They could preasurize the room but the amount of effort was tiring.

thanks for the comments guys and i just always wanted to go with two subs. but upgrading to a better sub does sound more logical. anyhow has or does anyone one one of the dayton subs?

The best I've seen for the $$$ are Elemental Design, Epik, and SVS.

Polk PSW505 is a good sub for both Movies and Music. Brand new ones are selling for $300 (incl shipping). If u r open to sell ur JBL and buy this one, it may work out. If u wait and keep an eye, u may get used ones around $200

If you want to use more than one how should they be placed?

You could stack or co-locate them for about 6db gain or you could put one in each front corner or put them near field behind couch. Just depends on how your room reacts.
