Use a cheaper plug on the Xbox to lift the ground.
'Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
I use a tos link cable to the pre and component cables.
The xbox uses proprietary power cable with no ground.

Go HDMI over the Xbox if you can, best investment I ever made. Yeah ground lift should help with hum. Check cables and make sure all are fully seated.
Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!! !
