    Default Harmony Remote

I have some buttons not working on my remote. Is there any easy fix. Bottons seem to stick.

My 880 remote did that also, I did a cheap repair which seemed to work ok for me. Take apart remote you will find button switches very cheap to make and was a bit turned off seeing them in there. Ok back to fix lifting up the tape film clean the pc contacts and rotate the switch disk 90 degree or so. Worked for me but I cheap and refused to buy another to replace it just for a button.

I have the Harmony 520. Thanks for the responses. If I was to try taking this thing a part would I just clean with a cloth or do I need some sort of solution and what is a switch disc?

What I'm trying to say not sure of the name they use. But think of these switches as silver disk which is concaved facing so the middle to pointed up under a tape film. This type of switch is very common but very cheaply made, and many times cause issues IMHO. It wouldn't surprise me to find them in the whole line, they are designed so you buy another remote.

Sorry but why wouldn't I feel the Harmony One doesn't use switches like that also? Switches good for 10k use no more, where the volume control is must likely to fail.
