    Default Yamaha pf 800 info needed

    Hello, everyone, longtime lurker finally posting
    This Is my first post here so bare with me.

    I recently acquired a yamaha pf 800 turntable.
    I am having trouble finding out some info on it.
    I was wondering if anyone out there has ever had one of these, and if so if they know how to separate the subplatter from the spindle. Also if anyone knows how to add damping fluid to the cuing. Mine drops a little fast and abruptly. I noticed a post by Darqueknight that he added fluid, but cannot figure out how. This and any other info of help about this table would be great. Thanks in advance and I really enjoy this forum and am happy I finnaly made the plunge.

    Welcome to Clubpolk!

    Here is a link to the manual for your TT. You are required to join the forum to download, but it is one of the best sites for vinyl lovers out there. I don't know why you need to separate the platter from spindle since on a DD TT there is very little to see.

    Thanks for the info and help so far guys.
    keep it coming. So for it seems like it will be a great table, but there are certain maintenance issues since it has been literally sitting for twenty years.

    If anyone has any info or practical advice on this table I would love it. I need to get a new cartridge based on the age of the one the table came with. any opinions?
