10A missing lower frequencies

Hey everyone,

First time poster - not sure if this is in the correct forum. :(

I have a pair of 10A's that I bought in college around 1979 or so, and recently noticed that one speaker does not reproduce any lower frequencies, and one of the bass drivers looks like it is "pulled in" (gasket around the cone is flat).

Is this a crossover problem? If so, can I fix it? If not, what else might be causing this?

You have a locked driver. Pull it out, on the back you will see a model number. Call Polk on Monday and order a new one.

If it is indeed a frozen driver, remove it and try out the frozen driver solution in this forum (with link to AudioKarma). Tell us how it works out for you. :)
