...no you don't.
from Autoblog:
It looks like many of Saleen's customers may be out of luck when it comes to the warranties on their vehicles. MJ Acquisitions -- the firm that recently purchased assets from Saleen, Inc. including the rights to the S and Racecraft lines as well as Saleen's aftermarket parts division -- sent a letter to dealers informing them that they're not liable for warranty claims and that responsibility would fall on the former owners of the brand. However, Saleen, Inc. announced it has completely ceased operations and will no longer honor warranty claims, leaving it to owners to pay for any maintenance on their vehicles regardless of when it was purchased. This also includes any vehicles languishing on dealers' lots, so any unsold 2008 or 2009 Saleen or Racecraft models will essentially come without a warranty. The small amount of good news is the MJ Acquisitions will continue to provide parts to dealers, and any parts purchased after February 2, 2009 will come with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.
So yeah, if you've been eying up that spankin' new, cherry Saleen in your local Ford dealer's lot and expecting to cut a sweet deal...guess again. You might get it cheap but that's because Saleen is done and gone, the new owners are not likely to continue building hyped-up, hot-rod Mustangs so any of you Saleen owners or potential owners better park the cars 'cause they are effectively collector's items at this point even more so than before. You'll still be able to get Saleen parts though for the time being. Also, since Ford is seemingly the healthiest of the Big 3 and there are now 3 named suiters and 2 unnamed suiters to the $6 billion price tag on Volvo, they might get even leaner and meaner so at least you will have Mustang parts for the foreseeable future also.
Be comforted though that while the Saleen S7 is not currently in production, the original Saleen Inc still retains all rights to the supercar business of Saleen Inc and while there wasn't really a warranty on the S7, you might actually be able to buy a Saleen supercar in the future! If teh future was made of puppydogs fartin' rainbows and fields of sunshine bathed lollipops.
