I am in the minority here but I don't care to much for the amazings... they sound great but are to finicky for my taste when it comes to those awesomely delicate ribbons

well, if you feel up to a roadtrip,, there is a pair of original amazings in the Atlanta area,owned by a polkie that will be going up for sale soon.;)

That's about 5-600 below the typical price. I'd jump on them immediatly, even if you have to drive for 'em. Your opinion of Amazings will change if you power them with 9t's. The ribbons aren't a problem unless you live in an area with wildly fluctuating humidity.

I would get them checked out if at all possible. I know a guy who got a pair for $ 800 and promptly had to sink another $ 800 into them Still a nice setup even at $ 1600 (basically rebuilt at that point) but as always, buyer beware.
