Default NAD C-565BEE CDP on the way!

Check it out, everything i want in a CDP, with the exception of SACD, (oh well) it works for my budget, should be here by friday. Had been using the Ps3 for cds', excited to see a nice difference with this unit with its upscaling capabilities. Really psyched. Got it through Audio Advisor for $699, decent price considering its new and they wanted $799. Whatdaya think?

    Nice! Congrats on the purchase.

    I've been considering a NAD M-5 for a dedicated CDP...though I'm leaning more towards a Marantz SA-8003.

Hey Curt, this works for my budget, excited about all its features. Looks like a real nice unit, not worried too much about not having SACD, maybe down the road sometime. The Ps3 is a nice transport for cd, but not too rich with features, hopeing to get a real treat with this baby!:D

It fills your needs, and your budget. That's the important thing. SACD is an essential feature for me though...so my price range has to go up a bit.

I've read a ton of reviews for the one you got though, it seems to be a good unit. I've read a lot of praise for it. Let us know how you like it once you get some listening time in on it.:)

Thanks! Great pics. Was looking for some feedback on this unit other than no SACD. Whats your opinion on it otherwise?

Looks like a very 'nice' player. Not familiar with it nor have I heard it, though NAD is certainly familiar.

I'll tell you a player in that price range I have heard that I liked quite a bit..though I'm sure others will pooh-pooh it.

I think you're good. I'm currently using a somewhat cheap, by this forum's standards, Yamaha Universal DVD-audio, SACD player. Good enough for now but not in the 799+ category.

    I'm sure you'll be happy.

I've heard good things about NAD's 515 CD player, so I'd imagine the 565 would improve upon that model.

Another CD player you should consider is Onkyo's DX-7555. Again, many rave reviews and you can get it for about $400.00.
