I like the review that says they sound so good he had to throttle down the bass on his receiver... apparently bathroom doors make GREAT subwoofers.

I guess I shouldn't knock it until I try it, but geeze I don't get how it COULD sound good at all.

Sounds good or not, that's pretty awesome and would be fun to play with regardless!

I didn't read all reviews but noticed nothing was below 4. The one you pointing at is sure a good one (probably confused bass with distotion??). There is one that mention using this in the car seat headrest, that could be interesting. No matter how unbelivable this may look, it is sure an attention getter!

Yep, that is what I mean by attention getter

Sounds great, I have two speakers on my kitchen walls. Now I can have the equivalent of a 12 speaker audio system in the same room with these. Whether they work or not--you've gotta to love this stuff. Who was it that said LIFE WAS STRANGER THAN FICTION! That's the guy who patented these!

If you hook them up on the exterior of the wall, make sure you warn your wife as she might be screaming and running around with the broom trying to kill all those grimlins on her wall! ;)

I can't see those really being the epitome of sound quality...lol

For 15 bucks a piece though...they'd probably be pretty fun to play around with.

This reminds me of those toothbrushes for kids that play music through your teeth. They vibrate at different frequencies which your brain sees as music when transferred through your teeth. They're pretty cool...lol I need to get one and figure out how to load some Floyd or Grateful Dead on it.;) A cheaper solution to headphones?:p

We use these in the museum industry.
There is a ratio that our A/v designers use between surface area/shape and the number of devices you have to make it resonate properly.

Mr Haas just gave us a nice presentation on acoustics. He is one of the premier developers of this type of sound reproduction as well as the Dakota Speaker....

Wonder if these could be used as surrounds? Probably be difficult to get the channel separation.

Hell yes! I don't have a stereo in my bathroom, but I'd love to be able to listen to some music while I'm brushing my teeth!:p

I believe that is actually one of the recommended uses for them. There was a small article about them in a Parts Express flier a while back talking about them for that purpose. I'm sure they are no where near being ideal...but they're probably a good solution for some people.

According to the article I read though, they work pretty well given what they actually are.

You could have a lot of fun with a bad GF/roommate or an annoying neighbor. Just leave the home, and remotely log onto your computer and you have an instant ghost, or pests chewing on the house:)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I wonder if they could be attached to one's nads(without too much discomfort) so when your woman is serving you she could do it to her favorite tunes.:p;):D
