    Default New Lirpa Labs turntable coming?

    With interest in vinyl playback picking up steam, I wonder if Lirpa Labs will ever improve its steam-powered turntable. I was just doing some online research on this model and I noticed it got an average of 4.65 out of 5 in 51 reviews at Audioreview.com. Other forums are abuzz with a new upgraded model using Russian tubes rumored to be called "The Russian Revolution".

    Anyone exciting about this upcoming development?

    Good to see Lirpa is still bringing out new stuff.I have not seen anything new from them since Audio Magazine went belly up years ago.

    With the resurgence of the vinyl records, I hope Lirpa Labs speed up the development of its Turbo Steamtable. I heard the new Steamtable will be chain-driven.

    I remember when the Lirpa TT's came out years ago. I had the one with no tone arm and the self propelled cartridge. It had wheels, a small engine and a transmitter and ran around the record by itself. I later modded it with Centerline wheels and BFG's. That really improved the tracking and lowered the noise. I got rid of it when gas got expensive. I wish I never sold it. You don't see too many of them now.

    ... the only problem with those was that you had to run 'em on nitro if you wanted to play 78s.
