How can I tell the difference?

Im looking to get the Lsi15's. I have read on different places recently that newer Lsi15's may look different than older ones. My question is how do I tell the difference if Im buying them off ebay. I ask because alot of times just the left or right is being slod from one seller. And if I get one from one seller and the other from another how can I make sure they match? Can you tell if they are older from the serial numbers? I hear some are darker and some may have rounded corners? I want to make sure they match.
Also if one is darker than another, is it possible to restain the cherry on both to make them match?

Selkec, Your best bet would be to chech out polks ebay direct store they sell them in pairs and are refurbs then you are sure to get a matching set and the prices arn't bad either I think they are 899 BIN. Good luck
