What's up everyone?
I just did a Install yesterday for a couple who purchased a 60 inch Pioneer Elite tv. They or she didn't want speakers everywhere but he wanted surround sound.. I spec'd a Def Tech SSA-42 surround bar and a Supercube III. We powered it with a Pioneer Elite vsx03txh receiver and sources where a Ipod, Radio , Samsung/Netfix Blu ray player, Direct tv HD receiver. All wired with Tributaries cables and Binary HDMI cables.
After calibration, I ran a few clips and found the supercube III to be one impressive little tiny sub. I could not believe the output of that little sucker. Not to mention I was able to get music to sound good off the surroundbar and sub. Impressive system for not much money.
The right surround array worked perfectly but the left was a little weak and scattered due to no wall on the left to bounce the sound around. Surround bars rely on reflection to work correctly. But even with this limitation, it made for a very happy customer. Not to mention I would now love to Install one in my masterbed with the badass Supercube III.
Def Tech just keeps impressing me.Nice stuff.
