    Default model 10 series

I have some vintage model 10 speakers bought in 1981. They are in excellent condition. They are stored in the original boxes. I used them during the years of 1981 thru 1985 then stored them back into the boxes. I got them out today and they sound wonderful. What are they worth? 2 speakers.
    Thanks for your help!

You mean Monitor 10? Posting pics are probably best. Or providing driver model numbers. There are different variations of the Monitor 10.

    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

If they are Monitor 10s and you are selling them, I am looking for a pair.

I have seen several mentions of "Model x" vs "Monitor x". Were the Polk Audio speakers originally called "Model"?

Um, no. At least, not as far as I know. I have the original box for the Monitor 10B and that's what it's called on the box. Monitor 10B.

I think the very very early stuff (mid to late70s) was called Model9, Model 7 and Model 10. Maybe I am wrong.

Some of them were. I've got some Monitor 7A's with original boxes. The boxes say "Monitor Series:Model 7". There also isn't any reference to the "A" designation on the box.

I always just refer to them as Monitor 7's though. I think with the later ones, Polk may have dropped the "Model" and just referred to them as "Monitor X".

Ah. Good to know for the future. I guess once they hit the B series, they dropped the "Model" because my box says simply "Monitor 10" and has a "B" stamped next to it.
