Default Bizzare Food: Andrew Zimmern and No Reservations: Anthony Bourdain

Anyone else watch these shows on Travel Channel?

I've been hooked to these, more so with Bourdain. He is a hillarious New Yorker and yet very open minded to be exposed to that many cultures and ethnic food!

Which episodes are your best? Mine was the Kalahari Dessert episode (with the tribe).
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    I like Bourdain...

Andrew Zimmern is just weird. No way I'm eating any of that crap he does.

I actually prefer Man vs. Food. I like to find out about places that are kind of off the map that have a fun signature dish. Granted, he is usually trying to get his name on the wall for eating the hottest soup, most oysters, whatever, but it all looks like some dang good food prepared right here in the USA.

I'm a huge Bourdain fan, as I love the way he explores foodways from a cultural perspective. It's pretty much the only show I watch.

Man vs. Food is underwhelming. Is it just me, or do his challenges seem somewhat tame. I guess I have an iron stomach and years of eating the spiciest food on the menu under my belt, but what was the deal with him struggling with six Atomic wings at Quaker State and Lube? I ate twelve of those in one sitting - refusing water, ranch, celery, etc.
There's MUCH hotter out there. All the while, you'd think he was giving birth to a water buffalo covered in razor blades during the whole ordeal....
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Love the show and the warning label before the show starts.

    He likes his booze also.

Yeah I don't know about the hot stuff and he does seem to be a bit dramatic, but it would be really boring if he weren't.

I could hang with Anthony. I spotted the guy down in Cabo once. Drunk as a rat but having a fun time. My kind of lifestyle. Good food, great comapny and hitting all the wild spots for booze.

That's the main reason why I like Bourdain over Zimmern... he takes it (although with alcohol most of the times). I am also a big fan of Bourdain for the fact that he is anti Rachael Ray.
