    Default First Audiogon Transaction!

Alright, I finally bought something off of Audiogon. Kind of - I bought it from a regular seller there. Joe Abrams.

Just a simple power cord purchase.

Joe Abrams is by far one of the more professional people I have dealt with online involving buying things. His responses were fast and very responsive.

I highly recommend Joe for anyone looking to purchase MIT products. Only downside is he is in North Carolina...

Anyways -- that is all! haha

I made my 1st purchase there a few months ago...also had an A++ experience. I can't afford to browse their site often though!

There's DEFINITELY a difference to be heard when changing out a power cord!

    Which one did you get?

Well my main components (CDP, Pre, Amps) use the MIT Shotgun AC1

For my subs (which I mention in this thread) and my power conditioner (which came with the conditioner) is the MIT Z Cord II

Power Cables always have the most interesting impact on a system. How it draws out more details by reducing noise is pretty interesting to me. Its a difference you wouldnt really expect...

Anyways -- those network boxes do wonders to the power as far as removing unwanted noise. They essential filter out any frequency outside of the 50-60hz.

Very cool. My Magic Power cord doesn't have the filters but I noticed that the highs smoothed out after adding it to my CDP.

If you remove the filters on that Z Cord II - you essentially have a Magic Power Cable without the pretty wrapper... lol

The MPC is a cool cable with excellent value. I would have bought them for my subs - but I just wanted all the same brand wire.

Can you tell a difference when swapping out the power cable on your subs? If so, what do you notice?

Im not getting married anytime soon.

If anything my GF is about to move to go to college -- so we will apart for 2 years if anything...

As far as the subs and the power cables... I have not received my subs yet, I just have the cables here so I wont have any downtime on the subs ----

But in the past I notice a little deeper extention and a little more tone. It is more so a piece of mind and having no wink links than anything else. The subwoofer probally benefits less than anything from a good power cable -- but at this point, if I didn't get the PCs for the subs, the system would feel incomplete - lol *sigh*
