That is way to much in the chain. And I would rather spend that kind of money on having my eyes removed with a spoon.

Yeah I've seen it. The guy is an idiot that thinks he's got something really rare. I've got twice the amount of stuff he's got and I'll sell it for less than half the price he's asking for his. He is a running joke on the internet and the SAE forum.

Here's a picture of my system that I just rearranged and I've got to add two more pieces of gear I just picked up today. Then I'll do the cleaning and detailing and take some better pics.

Looking good Joe. Based on the price this guy is asking, you have like half a million there.

Hmmm... he only had 4 bids when I posted this... now he's got 8! I'm thinking somebody here secretly covets this stuff. I'm guessing, however, that no one has approached 6 figures... or 5...

I agree, if I were to spend that much on a system it would involve only 3 or 4 pieces of equipment.

I actually first wanted to get a Pioneer RT909, mostly because it had a good reputation and it was rack-mount...but...it is all silver, which would look a little out of place in the rack.

The Akai popped up on a local list here and the guy was 10 minutes away. So I went to take a look and it was the perfect fit for the rack and it was all black. I must add that the Akai looks brand new....not a mark on it. I have new tapes for it too.

I never owned a reel to reel, always wanted one though.

    WOW

It could just be a great deal, considering some of the items are in:

    EXTRA MINT CONDITION

I mean, isn't that like even newer than straight from the factory?

Hard to find anything in that condition
