And Where is it in a standard room with two speakers?

"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
If you slide a mirror along that wall, when you see the loudspeaker cabinet...moreso a split between the baffle and the cabinet.
Are you serious?
If you are, it is the point in the wall, ceiling and floor (normally only the wall is treated), where if you place a mirror, you can see your speakers (right speaker for the righ wall) from your seating position.

Yer thinkin' to much, Sal!
Go with the music.....;)
Lots of variables associated with First Reflection.
Sure, but it's an excellent rough estimate. Ricardo said it best. I wouldn't cement anything but laying panels on the wall can help tune it in...and it shouldn't vary that much to dial it. If you change styles of loudspeaker, that could be a problem.
This isn't rocket science.
Putz! I'm finally talking audio and you say something like that.
I've got six more days of probation. Don't make me f*ck that up.;)
Sal?
Sal. Is this for the 2ch system? Rico is on the right track with the mirror bounce. But that depends on the speaker...and your ears with the room treatments.
SDA's, monitors, etc.
Yeah my brother told me about the mirror trick yesterday.
I thought the first reflection point would be the wall where the closet is as shown below:
So, if it's the side wall, wouldn't the ceiling and floor be additional reflection points?
I think I already have the side walls covered.
What's more important, covering the reflection points on the ceiling and floor or covering the corners?

If you have carpet the point is moot. I put Auralex acoustic foam on my ceiling but did not notice any differance, so I took it down. Having foam in the corners, on the side walls, and the back wall did the trick for my room. It is easy to over do the acoustic treatment and deaden the sound.

I just did the mirror trick on the side walls and since the 48x48's are so large they cover the 1st reflection point on the side wall just fine.

As already stated - first reflection point is where you see the right speaker on the right wall (with a mirror and no, its not exact, but its pretty darn close). The second reflection point is where you see your left speaker on the right wall. If you can - cover both the first and second reflection points.
The reflection points will help with imaging and mid-range/high frequencies from your main speakers. The traps in the corners are mainly for bass control and should be the more dense of the 2. i.e. - if doing a DIY, use Owens Corning 705, double thick across the corners, Use Owens Corning 703 on the side walls for the reflection points.
(this is from memory, but I believe 705 is more dense and better for bass - 703 is less dense and better for mids/highs. If I am mistaken, reverse as neccesary)
in either case, you will get better performance if you have the panels mounted a little ways off the wall (even an inch or two would be a big help - short pegs made from dowels would work fine for this) In the case of the corner traps - cross the corner if using flat panels rather than tucked along the walls in the corner.

Its all good Sal. Keep working at it. Lots of reflections, nodes, nulls, etc. but agree the panels are not rocket science. You might run some sweeps to see what happens at different frequencies.

Right now I have the first reflection points on the sides walls done, I have a pair of panels on the floor temporarily that I intend to move to the ceiling and I have the corners filled and 4 panels behind my listening position.
It sounds pretty damn good!, The SDA range and detail is much more defined, I am very happy!!!
I bought a really nice stud finder that can tell you the difference between wood & metal studs, the thickness of the sheetrock and if there is electrical wiring in the wall where I am about to do some drilling and/or screwing.
I'm going to use that for the ceiling mounted ones.
Thanks All,
Sal
