    Finally. Something pops up on Craigslist. These are about 5 minutes away from me.

    Run don't walk. They are the original SDA SRS. I just pick up set for twelve hundred. Your lucky I am not closer. You can't lose on them. Go now and let us know how you made out.

    Geez. I was kind of hoping you would say there over priced or not a desired series. I have absolutely no need for these. Right now anyway..... Nor do I have the funds. Well... Not really any money I should be spending. I'm leaving on a 3 day trip to go pick up a pair of horns in two days. So thats going to take a bit of my money. But I've ALWAYS wanted a badass pair of SDA's. I did a search on ebay for completed listings and found a pair like these that sold for $1900.00 I bet I might be able to get these for $500.00.. I'm quite the haggler and the guy says best offer with exclamation points.


    I'm going to run some numbers and see how my money looks and what I can get away with. I am getting paid vacation time for the trip I'm about to take and haven't considered that money yet. So I might be able to pull something off.


    I guess if I got in a bad situation I could probably turn them and recoop my money.

    Well. I checked my money. $500.00 is about the most I can let go at the moment. I called the guy and didn't get a answer. I'm going to call again in a little bit and try and sit up a meeting some time tomorrow to go look at them. I'm going to take $500.00 cash with me and see if I can't come home with my first pair of SDA's..... I've never even heard and SDA before.....

    Hoepfully I snag them.


    Is there anything in particular I should look for or ask?

    If he won't take $500.00 for them than I won't get them. That's the absolute most I can't spend.:D


    Well. He just called me back as I was typing this. There have been two other inquiry's. I''m the first he called back. I'm meeting him tomorrow and he said I have first dibs. He said all the drivers and tweeters work. He has the spikes that came with them and the interconnect cable. Get this. His also the ORIGINAL owner!!! He bought them new at Ovation. He said there perfect!



    Oh jeez I hope I get these...

    Good luck! It would be great if you got these, since you tend to fix things up better than new, and then sell them on at killer prices to fellow Polkies within a year. If you get them, they will probably be restored to their full glory AND stay in the family, in a manner of speaking.

    If you're referring to horn speakers, postpone it. If you're talking about trombones and need to march in the band next weekend, then that's ok.

    You should walk in and hand the guy $750. Original owner, mint SRS or 1.2s are worth quite a bit more. Go too low and he'll pass with a couple of others behind you. He might get a couple of offers for more in the meantime.

    Yes its for some rear loaded Horns with Fostex drivers. No way I can post pone the trip.



    I'm going to see if my dad will invest the other $250 if need be. I'm going to try and get them one way or another...

    It's a verrrrry long way away! You might have serious health issues if you drove all the way here with a h@rd on, ya know ... the four hour thingy and all that ... but you could order some of those pills from that guy who's spamming us right now.
