A Few Basic Questions...

Good evening! I hope every person that reads this is having, or will have, a great day.

I will preface this by admitting I don't know very much about car audio, so any advise at all is greatly appreciated.

I just purchased the SR 124DVC 12" component sub. What box would be best suited to fit one of these? I've read that ported hit nice.

I also have a question of what amplifier to power it. I was considering the Alpine PDX 1.600 or the Polk PA 1200.1. Ideally I'd want an amp that I could use to power some upgrades that might come later (MM6501 and/or MM5251 .. the SR6501 and SR5250 are out of my price range)

As for wiring, I think I'm just going to take it to a local car audio shop to have it set up. I literally have no experience with this and trust a car audio shop to a buddies buddy.

The Alpine would be a nice fit. You'll need a separate amp for any door speakers.

What kind of car is this going in?
