Never done that grilling over a piece of wood.....tell me more; is this a special piece of wood, or any will do? Do you use it once and throw it away? Doesn't it catch fire?

You soak it in water for a period. Common wood to use is cedar.

Cedar plank salmon is food of the gods.

you use cedar wood.. it has to be untreated.. soak in water for 24 hours... then place on grill for 5 minutes before you place the fish on the cedar board.

you can pick these cedar planks at some stores. have a spray bottle with water handy.. some times it'll catch fire.. but be sure to soak it for 24 hours at least. gives off a good smokey flavor to the fish.

prepare fish with sea salt, pepper, dill, lemon juice and lemon slices.. i also use a few tablespoons of store bought zesty citrus salad dressing.

Salmon is always good, my favourite fish. If you can have an open fire, here's a good way of preparing it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcmuLjuPo1Q (loimulohi)

All it really needs is some salt, nothing else.

I had Mrs T's Perogies with carmelized onions and Habanero Hot Sauce. All nice and crispy in my Cast Iron Skillet.

Yes that was my dinner and yes it was good.

You might also try BBQ-ing it w/a layer of pesto on top. Woo doggies!

Another way that we love it is to put a layer of Dijon COUNTRY mustard on it, then sprinkle a nice amount of brown sugar on top of that. Mighty tasty!

I can't eat cooked salmon, I am allergic to it.

But if it was raw or smoked then no problem, I can eat as much as I like.

Well, tonight the wife and I had lemon pepper pork with garlic mashed 'tater's and buttered corn. We're stuffed. Sliced pineapple with angel food cake for dessert.

Hey man, the topic was tonight's meal right?
