Default Connecting speakers to two seperate channels

    Hello,

I have been unable to find the answer to this question. I understand bi-wiring, and to some extent bi-amping, but I am wondering if it is a bad idea to connect a speaker to both the A and B outputs. To be clear, I mean connecting Monitor 40s to a Sony STR-D965 reciever so that one set of terminals on each speaker is connected to (A) Front speaker and one set of terminals is connected to (B) Front speaker. This would provide each speaker with 100w for the mids and 50w for the tweets.

Not sure if you guys get what Im saying, but thanks in advance for the help!

Unless that's something suggested in the manual, generally you shouldn't.

Connecting it like this will change the impedance of the speaker, and isn't recommended.
