Default Is Onkyo 606 enough for RTIA5+CSIA4+FXIA4+PSW125+Energy C-100?

Hi, I just finished to complete my sound system: RTIA5 + CSIA4 + FXIA4 + PSW125 + Energy C-100. I have an Onkyo TX-SR606 and I was asking myself if this receiver is enough to support my system. Do I need to replace the receiver? Can I add other receiver? could you suggest me the best option please?

    thanks

Your receiver will do just fine but more power is always better.

thanks Leroy for your fast reply.
If I add another receiver, I don't know wheter it is possible or not, does the quality of the sound improve?
Sorry by my noob question, but I'm new in sound systems.

    thanks

What do you feel you are missing ? Movies ? Music ?

If you just want to upgrade AVRs look at AVRs with Pre outs so you can expand. I like Denons, Pioneer is popular here. You really need to understand what you do not like about your current setup and what you do like. From there you will get better suggestions.

If you use the system mostly for Movies I think you are in fine shape.

Yes, there are differences between the brands signature sound and within each brand. Generally, the more you spend the better the sound...better parts, better DACs, as well as, more features. The 606 has a ton of features for an entry level AVR. It's plenty to run most HTs if your speakers don't represent a heavy load. Yours aren't. Paraphrasing thsmith, if you don't find it lacking now, then stick with it for awhile. Get a taste of what you like and dislike. If you decide you want more, do some research. Ask some questions. Get your ears around other options.

That said, where that product is likely short changed is in the amp section and and overall sound quality department. That, and you can't use it as a pre/pro (no pre-outs).

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

    Thanks all for your answers.
I use my sound system to play movies and music (same use for both). I find my system working fine, but I just wanted to know if it will be a difference adding another receiver.

    thank you very much guys!

The 606 will do just fine powering that setup. I'm running a 606, with a fairly similar speaker setup.

The speakers would benefit very much from more power though. I plan on upgrading to a Pioneer Elite SC-07 eventually. Some external amps will be coming along after that as well.

I'm probably off base here but you have mentioned adding another receiver a couple of times. I'm assuming you mean "replacing" your receiver with another one. Correct? You cannot add a receiver. Other than that, I agree with everything said here. I think you're fine for now so you should just enjoy. Always good to plan ahead though. Good luck arriagadaa.
