    Default RT600, yer or no

Hi guys, wanted to make an inquiry, currently in use have a pair of RT55 (front), a pair of RT25 (surround) and a pair of JBL E10 (surround back), and without using a central CSi 25, I have the possibility changing the CSi 25 + JBL E10 for a few columns RT600. they think, the following final configuration: Front RT600, RT55 and RT25 surround S. Back. Will I have a better sound? I use a Yamaha RXV 650. Greetings, Sorry for my bad English

Default It Might Help, But ...

I would expect that to help quite a bit, but you may find that the RT55 are better up front, not the RT600, since the RT55 is basically an RT800 in a bookshelf form. I would certainly consider it if you are getting a good price. If you really want towers up front, then it would be better to look for RT800, or better, so that you don't loose any performance when compared to your existing RT55 setup.

The difficulty you will encounter with using either for surround duty is getting the tweeter raised up above ear level (where it is supposed to be for correct surround placement - about 2', or 60cm IIRC).

Also note: you will probably improve your system far more by adding a CS300 or CS400 center channel speaker IMO than by changing your JBL surrounds.

I RAN THE RT800 UP FRONT FOR 11Y. JUST UPGRADED to rti150's, man the mids sound much better than in the rt800's. I guess the change of the blue cone woofers and crossover really did it.

I run RT800i's plus Rt55 stacked on them. I A+B them in my Home theater and it has made a world of differance. I am not a big fan of the RT600 series but if you can stack them with RT55's you may like what you hear.

Thank you all for your advice, I went to hear the rt600 and loose feel, with less body that rt55 and somewhat severe uncontrolled, another option is that I'm driving: buy a couple more rt25 and cs30, becomes:

    rt55 cs30 rt55 (SW: YST SW90)

    rt25 OO rt25

    rt25 rt25

    They think this new option?

Adding matching center and surrounds to fronts that you have found new love for, what's not to like here?
