Default Two Stereo Pairs (4 speakers)

Friend of mine wants to run 4 speakers in his store with one receiver. I know there has got to be some stereo receivers that can play both pairs at the same time (A/B). I just never gave it much thought. Can anyone recommend a stereo receiver that you know does this?
    Thanks

harman/kardon HK-3490 will do it with ease. Not too expensive either. Also, it has a 2 year warranty.

That would be my 1st choice. Enjoy!

Most Onkyos will do it as well. They have a feature where you hook them up as surround, but then you can select "All Static" or something of the sort, and send the same signal to all speakers.

You could use line transformers to run speakers
just need to match up the voltages.

does not matter if you then operate in mono, stereo, or multichannel mode.

+1 - almost all surround receivers (even the very low end) will do 5-channel stereo.

I would look for a nice integrated amplifer. Most can have two sets of speakers and you will not have to pay for all the DD and DTS logo's and will get a better amp in the process.

How much does he want to spend? Local guy near me has 8 listed on his web site ranging from $40 to $325

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replies. I would have had him go with an integrated also but he seemed inpatient and went with a $300 Pioneer receiver. I did however convince him to wait for the Orb speakers instead of going for the Bose. lets see if he listened.
    Thanks again.
