do you have pets or kids around? as I don't see a great method to keep the speakers on the stands in case of bumping into.

I have almost those exact stands, the base is shaped a bit different but the dimmensions are the same. I tried using velcro strips to secure the speakers to the stands - cheap surrounds a bit smaller than the rti6's. Those speekers have hit the ground more times than I care to count, and I don't have kids. When I get new surrounds I'll be giving those stands away...

I don't have a lot of choices with my surrounds either. stands for now. other than bolting the speakers to the stands, I don't know of a good way to secure them. I'm starting to consider 4 floorstanders for my surrounds. a5's? :D if you gotta use stands, get some sturdy ones with a big speaker base that aren't tippy. btw siva, what's a gaf?

You could try using a heavy duty double sided foam tape to secure the speakers to the stand. I can lift my stands by the speaker, so there's no chance of them falling off accidentally.

Siva, both of the stands that you've linked seem a bit too tall to put the RTi6 tweeters near ear level. For a shorter, sturdier(and less expensive)stand, consider this one .
