You should at least crank it the day before you pack your system up.

If they say anyhting let them know how good you were all these years by not turning it up!

I just moved into my first house 6 months ago, I used to crank it up like crazy, the people below me hated my guts but they left me alone because i think they were illegal!!!! LOL!!!!

    Congrats.............where in Illinois are you?
"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

congrats!! Nothing like "owning" your own place...of course, you won't really own it for a number of years unless you pay cash, but still it's great to say it's yours and not line the landlord's pocket for a change. Hope you are taking advantage of the tax credit!
This reminds me of how my wife makes fun of me whenever we looked at a new place to live.....I would always determine if the living room was suitable for the sound system before I would get serious about the place!
