Default jl 13tw5-3 and alpine pdx-5

I have an alpine pdx-5 amp and am considering getting one of jls new shallow mount subs. This may be a stupid question but I just want to be sure. The pdx5 lists 300w for both 2 and 4 ohm loads, the jl is a 3 ohm sub, would I still get 300w from the pdx5 at 3 ohms?

yes you would get 300w at any impedence between 2 and 4 ohms. You havent mentioned the JL model but something like the 13" JL T-5 would would be good at 300watts.
