    hey people,
    confusion here

Top of the Line Tower Performance

The flagship in the tower line with built in 150 watt, 10" powered subwoofer on each speaker
while the Tech Specs said recommended Amplifier Power 20 - 300 w/channel

    so, what's its real power?
this speaker should be fine with my Carver TMF-35?

This guy next to me. i'll call him tomorrow after work

If you're wondering whether or not you'll need a dedicated sub with these...it depends. For movies I use a dedicated sub...for music maybe not...all depends how much 'rumble' you like.

I have Velodyne DLS-5000R sub, so i don't worry about bass.
The thing is that polk said these speakers are 150w if i turn the volume a bit high it might kill the speakers? coz the TFM35 rate 380w@4ohm and these speakers are 4ohm

Polk confused me, the tech specs said recommend the amps at 300w while othe place said 150w wtf?

we're already fried 2 pairs of JBL rated 400w peak. what's continuous and peak of these polk speakers?

I think I know what you're asking here...

The LSi25's have built in subs. Each tower has a built in 10" sub with a 150 watt amp.

The recommended power rating of 20-300 watts per channel is for the mid/tweeter array.

It was pretty clear actually. It says the amplifier BUILT into each speaker is rated at 150w. That has nothing to do with the actual power handling of what you want to amplify with your TFM-35. The speakers can easily handle your amp, as it is always a good idea to have more power than your speakers can handle.

Hey all, correct me if I am wrong; unless your selling something of your own or that you are taking responsibility for, I believe the general understanding here at CP is that the 'No Affil.' sale listings should be kept in the Clubhouse (or appropriate group) or at least the Audio Deals of the Day thread, not in the Flea Market. No sense in seeing a discussion thread continually bumping legitimate FS threads down.

Just throwing that out there so people don't get the idea that this is the way its supposed to be done.

So you'd rather it take up space in another section of the forum?

I'm interested in these and will drive there to get them. I currently have an Onkyo 605 and rti 8 speakers. I'll sell the rti's and Onkyo if I can get this, what receiver would I need that cost under $500 to drive these until I get an amp? Used Onkyo 805? Or is there a cheaper option?

Even though the sub is powered, you're gonna want a good deal of juice. If you're only running two-channel, I'd recommend taking a look at an inexpensive stereo receiver and attach an external amp. Otherwise you could perhaps look at the Pio Elite SC-05.

My mom called the guy in Boston and his Dad answered. She said he had a weird accent and she couldn't understand much of what he said. She asked him to repeat and all she heard was "my son ---------" that's it and then he hung up. So.... I dunno I'll try to call back tomorrow myself. If anybody else has called it would be much appreciated if they could divulge whatever info they got out of the guy. :)

my bro got them home 2 days ago. he's waiting for the TFM-35 to arrive, so he can hook them up. he got the amp from ebay for $268 shipped. the guy said he'll provide tracking number on Wednesday but he didn't. i sent him 2 emails but still didn't hear anything from him. i wonder how the hell he got 100% of 353 positive feedbacks? i might shoot him a negative feedback for poor communication. he had me worried.

is there anyway we can get the money back in case he didn't ship?

    this is the one
