Default The glow of solid state luv'

Man, it's been some time since I've been able to enjoy my SACD's at their full potential... Tubes may be great, but there's somethin' special about the glow of a McIntosh..

That sabre DAC is a work of art. I think I have nearly the same DAC in my Peachtree Nova, and it sounds wonderful. Once the audio world settles down a bit in the discless world, I am either going to get a McIntosh server or a PS PWT. We'll see . . .

Live it up Zero, that's a beautiful way to listen to Hi-Rez audio.

    Sweet combo!

Have you tried using the MCD-500 as a pre?

I want McIntosh gear so badly....

I think it was here a while back that someone posted a picture in HUGE resolution of their McIntosh gear paired with Monitor 10s and something else. I tried for 2 hours last night to find it, then gave up and started drooling over McIntosh gear on Ebay. (Anyone know where that picture is?)

Waaaaayyyyy out of my price range (at least for any that i really want), but nice to look at.

    I envy you.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Thanks for the comments folks. I must say, this system is surprisingly linear. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that it is not the best of match for my Wilsons and Totem’s. That said, the system has formed a damned fine match on speakers with a more obvious organic tone. I’ll be throwing on some McIntosh speakers later on in the week to see how everything plays together.

Face - I intend on trying the MCD-500 as a pre in the next month or so. For now, I'm just going to enjoy it taking helm as the (temporary) main cd-player in the rig!

Mc is the abreviation for McIntosh Labs. Mac is Macintosh Computers. :)

Incorrect. Go to any McIntosh board, they all use the abbreviation Mac, not Mc. ;)
