Today my mom and I made a three hour drive down to Dayton Ohio, and the National Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson. This is hands down one of the finest displays of Military airpower on the planet, and best of all, they never charge admission! Everything form the earliest Wright Flyer to the B-2 Spirit are on display and close enough to touch!. They even have the actual crew module from Apollo 15 and the famed AF26000 on display, otherwise known as JFK's Air Force One, which is open for the public to walk through.
I went there with somewhat low expectations as to the quality of the exibits, and left feeling that this is among the finest exibits anywhere in the world, proud to have met some of the people that made the Hall of Fame, and thankful that I live in a country that has such wonderful toys!:D I cannot recommend visiting this museum enough, If you are within driving distance, it is a must see, and even worth spending the night in a hotel if you must. And the best part, it was free to the public, though I gladly donated twenty dollars on the way out, and would have paid the cost of a movie ticket to get in. I will post some pics when I get them tommorow...
Semper Fi:p
