I know they are different beasts but how does the sound of the 1C's compare to the sound of the Amazing's? They are my only other "must have some day" speaker. What is the rack made of? It looks built like a tank.

The rack is made of 3/4" Cabinet grade plywood and threaded rod. That's it. Well nuts and washers of course. Very easy to build. Makes it easy to adjust for new gear.

Wow, as far as the sound of the Amazings vs SDA's. I am not a very good writer when it comes to reviews, but they are totally different. Not in a bad way at all. The Amazings with the right amplification will blow your mind on clarity and detail. The SDA's blow my mind on room filling clarity and detail. Sorry if that sounds like a generic answer but its the only way I could think of to say it.:)

Nice speakers. They look just like mine! Quite a few 1C studios around Atlanta for some reason. Looks like your x-overs are already taken care of, so the tweeters are the only thing to work on. I love my 1C and will keep them for a very long time.

You've got a couple of rooms of delectable equipment, Jerry. Gives a person ideas, and having ideas hurts bank accounts...
