Interesting idea, I think car speakers are made with the car's cabin gain in mind but I'd like to hear from someone who knows if that would work.

The only problem I could see is the Xover is in one piece so it can't be built in to the box. Other than that I think it would look pretty slick. Nice industrial/futuristic design without being to gaudy. I can see it now...

(sorry 'bout the pic, the comp I'm on doesn't have Photoshop)

Good suggestion with Parts Express but they only had a 6" box.

Nice picture, but I already have a location for the tweeter. This is going in a Wrangler, that's why I need the box.

    Default speaker boxes or pods

    good morning:
you can make your speaker boxes but its depending on if its marine , bike or inside a car. I use marine grade plywood water proof them then cover them to match the bike. Inside a car I would use mdf ( better for the sound of the speaker).
I am working on building some fiberglass speaker pods but I am still on a learning curve. LOL
I am restricted on size so I can't use the speker box programs they have that would allow you to get the correct speaker flat response.
Good luck with it. I am new to the site. love the polk quality I just spent $9300. installing two great systems in both my new vehicles. quality !
    Thanks Polk!

Really!!! An 8 year old thread.....you are responding to an 8 year old thread. Did it take that long to formulate an answer.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it.
