Default anybody make your own power cables?

I was tooling around on the bay and came across some bulk power wire.
Just wondering how hard is it to terminate your own? What kind of connectors are a good buy/upgrade and is it worth it?
The wire in question is some DH Labs wire...here is a link.

very nice power cable. Use this IEC:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Wattgate-320i-IE...#ht_485wt_1348

    and this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Wattgate-5266i-P...#ht_579wt_1348

very straight forward, as long as you follow the color code/scheme.

I built several of these DH-Lab power cords several years ago. Still using them. I like it better than SignalCable PowerCord, not by much though. DH Lab cable has nice sleeve to it that you don't really need to cover them. Have fun.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I built one with wire and plugs from soniccraft.(20% off sale)
I used: The Furutech FP-314Ag is constructed with Silver plated OFC and shielded with a Copper braid. The three 15ga conductors have been cryogenically treated and put through a special demagnetizing process. This 3/15 construction is insulated with PE and has an overall diameter of 0.51" (12.9mm). FP-314Ag is $9.85 per foot.

The Furutech FI-11 male AC connector is one of the best bangs for the buck. The blades are made from the purest Copper (OCC). This connector will accept 12awg wires and cabling up to 16mm. This connector features Furutech's special ground jumper system. Couple all of this with Furutech's special alpha process including cryogenic treatment, and we have a winner! FI-11M Cu $32.99 each

The Furutech FI-11 IEC connector is one of the best bangs for the buck. The blades are made from the purest Copper (OCC). This connector will accept 12awg wires and cabling up to 16mm. This connector features Furutech's special ground jumper system. Couple all of this with Furutech's special alpha process including cryogenic treatment, and we have a winner! The FI-11 is available unplated, plated in Gold, or Silver. FI-11 Cu $32.99 each; FI-11 G $43.99 each; FI-11 Ag $49.49 each.

And then I bought a DH labs power plus cable on ebay>>This is a new, never used Dh Labs Power Plus Reference Power Cord with Real Oyaide Cryoed P-037/C0-37 Silver/Rhodium Plugs 3ft long. I got this for $100.00 Great deal.
Ths dh cable made a huge difference in SQ.I will spend the extra money to terminate all future power plus wire with the OYAIDE plugs. There expensive but worth it.IMO

    Default Power Cables

    Hi,
I made all the PC in my system with VH Audio wire and Furutech connectors. I compared them to a PS Audio and Signal Cable and like the VH Audio stuff better. I use the shielded digital wire and the unshielded analog wire also. His website has all the info you will need. Very affordable compared to many other options.
