    Default Would a 500 watt amp push a HGS10?

    I am thinking about buying an HGS from a guy off of craigslst (just the woofer). I was wondering how powerful of an amp I need. I would be willing to build the subwoofer is the amp cost around $250, but I can't find a 1000 watt amplifier for that cheap. Because of that, I was wondering if a 500 watt amp would suffice.
