We lost another one of our little Poms earlier this evening. It was sudden and without any warning of trouble. Janey and I had moved to the patio around 5PM this evening to relax and BBQ. We let all the pups out to join us and to romp in the yard. Amber, our 12 year old girl was fine one minute, then wandered away and simply collapsed about 20 feet away from us the next. We noticed immediately and got to her. When I picked her up she was just lifeless in my arms. We rushed her to VCA Hospital right away, but by the time we got there she was DOA. The Vet's impression was that her little heart, for whatever reason just gave out and she went into a cardiac arrest. Not uncommon for Pomeranians, it happens sometimes. Those of you who know realize this was taken pretty hard. My Wife and her Mom more so this time. Please find it in within yourselves to say a prayer for our little one, and Janey and her Mom especially. Losing a pet is never easy, and for us it's like losing a child. :(
Peace and Aloha,
Mike & Janey
