24 hour Fitness

I haven't belonged to 24 hour Fitness for about 4 yrs. Two days ago I get a monthly membership dues charged to my account. WTF? Just out of the blue, they decide to charge my debit card... even though my account info was still on their file system.. my membership was inactive. WTH?

so called membership support and got them to take the charge off. They said it was a clerical error on their part.

Just seems weird that I haven't used the membership in 4 years, then they still have the authorization to make charges on my card.

I made them remove my charge into as well as any membership info.

I had a premier membership with them about 9 years ago. I got fed up in going because all the punk ass kids would interrupt people while working out. I'd be doing sets on a machine and some kid and/or group of kids would come up and ask, "are you done yet?" Used to irritate the sh*t out of me.

I canceled my plan and wrote a formal complaint letter to management. I had a couple friends that quit going there also because of the same BS.

Although nothing has been in the paper the last few years, for a while it seemed that there was always a complaint in "Action Line" about 24 Hour Fitness. It was always the same thing, unable to cancel membership, keep getting billed, etc.

I had mine set up where my monthly was deducted automatically from my bank acct. They tried that crap once and one phone call took care of it. The bank even credited back my funds.
