Mike, go take your Ritalin! You're de-railing your own friggin thread!
Here's my favorite 5:
Tony Iommi
Ritchie Blackmore
B.B. King
Alex Lifeson
And someone very few have heard of, or remember for that matter, Rik Emmett.(He's on the right, playing 'air' guitar:D)
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
Yep he is technically excellent, but he doesn't have that laid back, powerful, inventive swing style Bonham had. He always amazes me, never playing the same song the same way twice and the way he combined sheer heft and power with that behind the beat swing style........just makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
You in the mood for a drum clinic? When I send your tubes I have a LZ-bootleg you need to hear..........Bonham's drumming is off the charts!!!!!!!!
Another recording you need to hear is Rich vs. Roach as great cd has the two drummers in a drum off that will knock your socks off.

heiney...I gotta send you some vinyl transfers to check out eventually.
I scored a minty copy of Physical Graffiti recently I need to work on and I've been meaning to transfer the 180g pressing of The Song Remains the Same. They did an excellent job mastering that one for vinyl.
I'll get my ass motivated in the next few days to get them done.
