Default A Nightmare On Elm St. (2010) trailer

Looks pretty good. Casting Jackie Earle Haley as Freddie was a great choice.

oh man, that is the perfect choice to play him. Robert Englund is past his prime I think.

Platimum Dunes and Mike Bay are getting out of hand already...I prayed it may have ended with Friday the 13th...do we REALLY need a remake of this? Craven's original was so classic, and still is, that I ponder the necessity of this film...to introduce a new generation to the franchise? Is this going to be the argument for every horror remake? What's next -- The Exorcist?

There's no way anyone will play the role like Englund.

Great casting with Haley, but we really do not need a remake.

I for one am all for remake's. Movies can always be upgraded so I say bring'em, if I don't like it I won't watch it but at least some of these old films are getting a new look that's much needed.

    ...and thanks Dan!

No, these aren't "old films that need a new look;" they're classics that should be left alone the way they are.

Not quite as good as the original, but a very good effort. Good casting and acting, fantastic effects, my only issue, Freddie was too exposed. He was more a mystery in the original, here, he's up front and in your face. It's not quite as scary as it is gory either. I remember the original being the opposite.

    Overall, a good remake.
