    when I replaced the tweeters one of them i think one of the right one's was not connected is this some kind of tweek?

    Yes. It's called loose wires. ;)

    Or maybe somene unplugged them becasue the tweeter was damaged and making funny noises? If it sounds fine now, then just forget about it.

    nice pic's ricardo amazing how one purchase can lead to such a journey.I have had my 10a's for 29 years but the sda's have put me on the road to bigger things.

    It's a fair question, many polkies feel that the dimensional tweeter in the early SDA's makes the soundstage sound unnatural or "wild". So they disconnect it. The disconnected tweets should be the left in the left channel speaker and the right in the right channel speaker.

    You'll learn alot about your SDA's if you read DarqueKnight's sticky threads at the top of the vintage speakers threads.

    SDA 1B's don't have a dimensional tweter; they have two one on top of the other like the 1C's.

    Maybe they are 1A's

    Toby,

    Take out one 6.5" driver, any one of them, what model # is the driver?

    If it is MW6509 then they are 1B's, if it is anything else then they are not 1B's

    can you post a picture?
