Just added carpet spikes to my sub and like the improvement. Sounds cleaner-less muffled. Any one else try this with their sub or other speakers?

Yes. It made a dramatic improvement, especially the subwoofer. Chest thumping bass now.

I had a 24" x 24" x 2" slab of re-inforced concrete slab under my old SVS when i had carpet. It tightend up the bass tremendously.
