I have always liked the Mustangs, well...other than the 80s and early 90s models, but that was just a body style thing I took issue with. Are the new ones roomy enough for a guy who is 6' 6" and 275?

I also read Ford posted a 1 billion dollar profit in the 3rd quarter. I have to assume the new Taurus is a big part of that along with all the cost cutting.

roomy enough for 6'0 and 305 :D, the 6'6' is a hard call for most cars. you should sit in one, you got a good shot you'll be ok

It always sucks shopping for cars (as opposed to trucks/SUVs) these days because it seems like they've made the doors more narrow so it's a real bitch trying to get in and out. I'm usually comfortable once I'm in the cockpit.

I had my current vehicle in for service several months ago and they gave me a Pontiac G6 to use and that thing was a nightmare to get in and out of. :(

I'll have to give a new Mustang a test run, but I think I'm gonna wait for the 2011s.

I have drivin all but the new challenger, but dodge uses too much plastic for me. If I was buying a new pony it would be the Camaro. Dosen't handle quite as well as the stang when it's pushed hard. But, it feels much faster and I thought the ride felt better for every day driving.

Nothing like the added $5k to the sticker to entice buyers.
They can stick that crap up where the sun doesn't shine.
The Camaro looks nice, but I really hated the inside. And
once again, they've got the SS price up in lightly used Vette range.

Ya, it's 5k more but I felt you got 5k more car for it. I was not crazy about the inside at first. It felt sparse. But I got used to it. You can't compare used to new. Cars loose so much value as soon as they pull off the lot it makes me sick. When the camaro has been out for 2 years they will be much cheaper then a Vette and come with a back seat.

I bought a mustang in 2007 and I love it. I haven't driven any of the 2009+ ones yet, but from what I've heard they're even more refined... which is a good thing because my only beef with mine is that it picks up a good bit of road noise. Supposedly that's been addressed to some extent with the newest models though.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd still buy the Mustang. I'm not a big fan of the interior of the new Camaros, and I've really never been a big Dodge fan (though we do have a Jeep that I like also) so the Challenger is out. I looked at a Z when I was buying but they're too impractical for an every-day car (which mine is).

Also, if you're a 'car guy', there are literally TONS of aftermarket parts and accessories that you can add to a Mustang. I've added a custom exhaust system, intake, computer tune, new rear end, and a hurst shifter to mine thus far and it all makes a world of difference.
