    Default New amp, how to wire?

    Hi All;

    I finally picked up some somewhat serious power for my 1.2TL's today. I went with a Rotel RB-1090 (380wpc @ 8 Ohms). Currently I am "bi-amping" my 1.2TL's with a Rotel RB-985 MKII (using 4 channels/2 for each speaker). That being said I have 2 pairs of wires running to each 1.2TL's. My RB-1090 has two sets of binding posts for "bi-wiring" speakers (as stated in the manual). My question is:

    Do I put the HF/LF jumpers back on the 1.2's and connect all 4 wires to the back of the amp or leave them off?

    Thanks in advance.

    If you're using all binding posts on the speakers, as far as I know yea you would have to remove the jumpers.

    Btw, congrats on the amp!

    If you have a speaker cable going to each binding post,then you should remove the jumpers.Don't throw them away,put em' somewhere safe.Good luck and have fun.

    You are going to cause some serious damage to the amp and/or speakers if you don't remove those jumpers.

    Thanks for the help guys! The guy I bought the RB-1090 from bought by RB-985MKII so it worked out to be an awesome deal. The 1090 makes a world of difference! More powerful but I was looking for an amp to better control the MW's and the 1090 seems to have been the right choice here!
