Anyone have experience with these new OWM5 / 3's running with RTi8's?
I have been looking at them and almost have the wife sold on the idea because of the layout of the room, High wall mounts would work the best.

I have the OWM 5s and really like them. They were made to work well with most of Polks speakers I believe. If you're using them for surrounds, they would probably work just fine. They seem to have a pretty "neutral" sound to me. I'm no expert though:o As long as you keep them crossed over above 80-100hz, they can work great for many applications. I can't tell you for sure for you situation as I've never heard the RTi8s. I'm sure someone on here with much more expertise than I will chime in:)

It would be a great choice for that application.
I have had the OWM3's and thought that worked very well as a surround speaker. I had them corner mounted behind my chairs. The only issue i would see with mounting htem near the celing is if the couch is all the way against the wall. Even then i am sure it would be ok. Maybe not the optimal location but if it is the only place it is the only place.
Getting the wife to approve is the biggest part. If she likes it then i would go ahead and do it. It would be better than not having surrounds at all. lol
