I just got a Samsung 40" myself for $650 for the master bedroom to replace an older 32" Visio. 40" is a nice size, but I remember when a 26" tube TV was considered big.

What are you considering for a Blu-Ray player?

I think you will be happy with it. I see no reason why a dynex tv should be frowned upon as they are pretty good and even better for the price.

For the comment about the BR player I am really trying to get a pioneer BR player to match my receiver so I will see. But I did have to go borrow the neighbors regular dvd player for this week until I get something on black Friday. I wanted to be able to watch some movies.:D

This Pioneer Blu-Ray for $220 plus shipping would work.

Here's an early deal on a BD player. Good player for a great price. Streams Netflix only $130.

Truth be told, I'm still an Eagles fan...though we follow the Pats up in Maine as well. I know, I know...lots of Pat hatters around! Not a fan of Billy boy myself...but I do like Brady.

New TV looks great goes well with the new Elite AVR??

Blu-ray....hmmmm.....a good Panasonic would be fine. They're not the very best but Pannie knows 'video'!

Yes it does blend in with the elite pretty well. Also I am a eagles fan but my other 2 teams are titans and broncos as because they are my neighbors teams and I am very good friends with them.

Congrats on the TV! Pretty exciting stuff.

Don't forget about Panasonic when looking at BD players.

Do you have any specific features that you want?
