    Default Setup Recommendations

I finally started putting something together. I'd like to hear some input if im on the right track. I have a Onkyo SR-607, Rti a5, and a DSW micro pro 2000. What else should I add? The room that I have this setup in now is quite small. Should I add some more does it need it? Should I take it above a 2.1 setup. Sorry, I am new and just looking for help.

    welcome....

Is this only for music or is this a HT setup? If it is for movies my next step would be a center channel. Then surrounds as you can afford them. You want to make sure that the center is of the same series, so in your case it would be either the CSiA4 or CSiA6. The surrounds do not matter as much.

I have the A5's and really like them.
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

I use it as a HT setup. But I do run my record player to it also. It has to be multi functional. I have never really setup a system before. I not dumb on how to setup cables. I just want to make sure im getting the most out of what I have.

There is a VERY informative book called " Get better sound" by Jim Smith. Has won TONS of awards for best system at C.E.S. shows. He also worked for Magnepan and some other top notch manufactures. Book is $50.00 He stress placement over buying best reviewed.Anyone who has bought his book will get a quarterly news letter called " Quarter notes " I felt the info was worth the money. He also encourages you to e-mail him with questions or problems you didn't understand in the book.

+1, if you are going to be using it for HT (as you said you will) you will need a center channel. Something like 50-75% of movies are formatted to be played by your center channel, eps. dialogue. As stated in the post I quoted either the CSiA4 or A6 will work, but I would suggest the biggest, baddest center you can afford. Surrounds are nice to have, but can be added later when the wallet (or g/f, wife) allows, a center is more important and should be your next step, IMHO. Those would be the FXiA4 or A6. Welcome to Club Polk.
