    I would suggest either the Polk Audio DSW micropro 4000, DSW micropro 3000, or DSW pro 600 from Polk Direct on ebay as your best bang for the buck subwoofer right now.

    Whats the differnce in sound between front or down firing? My mains are in my family room ,Can I put the sub in the den wich is just in the next room ? i would like to spend less than 600.00

    there is no difference from a sound or performance perspective between front and down firing, down firing is safer as the driver is hidden (children and pets), the sub has to be next to the speakers to blend in, i have the DSW PRO 600 and it's great.

    Question wich svs ???

    Ok I think im going to go with svs. My room is 20x26 with a kitchen on the other end and 10 ft ceiling height. i only listen to music. i have a pair of rtia9s with a rotel 1080. I want big bass with money to spend . Wich sub ?? Thanks so much
