    Default XPA-3 Interconnect Cables

What type of cable would be best to connect my AVR/Prepro to this amplifier? Would digital audio cables be the best (see link) or standard Analog RCA audio cables? Is there any advantage/disadvantage to using one type over the other?

Well, your amplifier accepts an analog signal because there isn't a DAC onboard.

    So... Analog. :)

Yes as long as the digital audio cables are made with copper wire and are not an optical digital audio cable.
The Monoprice cables that you referenced in your link should work just fine.

In general, a digital coaxial audio cable is of better construction and has higher tolerances compared with analog coaxial audio cable from the same manufacturer. The performance difference between the two increase as they get longer.

The following article should be of interest.

One says digital and one says analog. Is there any other advice out there?

Correction, two members said analog. Only one troll said digital.

Digital cable is just a 75 ohm coax cable. It will work for digital or analog signals.

What some seem to be ignoring, is that even cables labeled "analog" are often 75 ohm as well.
