I have just about everything of hers. I really like the first 3 releases and many songs from later releases. She's in my normal rotation.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. i haven't heard her recent music.. but I really like her older stuff. if new is like her older stuff. then I would like it.. if it's mellow, then I won't. she's a rocker chick.. she needs to rock it hard. ;)

Not everyone's cup of tea. Most of her songs sound the same. Many of her ideas are way out in left field. She should be happy now that she got the change she wanted in "Detours". To bad now we have to pay for it.

What I said isn't controversial in the least. You either like her or you don't. Not everyone does.
Sheryl Crowe has been controversial in her music and her statements. Her "Detours" album is an example.
    That's no secret.
Merry Christmas and Joyeux Noel, let's agree on that.

He is banned on Club Polk but continues to spew his anti-Polk rhetoric on AVS.
Don't believe he has anything to do with Sheryl Crow though.

who cares about her views on politics thats her choice and being an American. Just because I listen to her does not mean I agree with her views 100%. The album sounds fantastic is all I was saying. Music = Art, get it?

I am also a big Rage Against the Machine fan very political band. some of their views I agree with some not, but the music they produce with such intense emotion just blows me away "very infectious".

Her political views are often infused into her music.
It is difficult to separate the two.

along with a big % of every musical artist out there. you must have a hard time finding music that only pertains to your views and beliefs.

I actually like Cheryl Crow's music (first few albums, at any rate) quite a bit... but... she really has a pretty weak singing voice (quite thin); she's virtually always double-tracked or otherwise "sweetened" vocally.
    all the best,

The Beatles, "All You Need is Love" does it for me.
Sheryl Crow is highly political - well beyond most artists.

Yeah I see what you mean The Beatles we're never highly political

The Beatles, "All You Need is Love" is one of the driest songs lyrically from them, But I still like it.

I remember when she made that comment about only using 1 square of toilet paper to wipe your ass after you drop a deuce. Yeah, Sheryl, yeah....

She's too stupid to take seriously musically or any other way.
